Doctor of Political Science, Professor, Excellence in Education Awardee, and holder of the "Құрмет" Order, Sharipbek Agabayuly Amırbek, delivered an open lecture on "Theoretical and Methodological Foundations of Conceptual Learning" as part of the "Successful Personality Lecture at Shakarim University" series. The event was attended by university leadership, deans of Higher and Research Schools, department heads, and faculty members.
In his lecture, Sharipbek Agabayuly delved into the theoretical and methodological foundations of conceptual learning. He emphasized that conceptual learning is a key tool for enhancing the efficiency of the educational process, fostering creative thinking, and developing students' ability to solve complex problems.
Having studied the educational systems of developed countries, the scholar highlighted that constructivist learning models emerged through the research of theorists like Lev Vygotsky and Jean Piaget, contributing to the advancement of new teaching methodologies. He also noted the contributions of American educator Jerome Bruner to cognitive learning theory and David Ausubel’s significant role in the development of conceptual learning and cognitive structures.
The professor emphasized the importance of applying the constructivist learning model in the education system. He explained that this model, by considering students' individual characteristics, significantly contributes to the development of their creativity, deepens cognitive engagement, and enhances thinking abilities.
Additionally, Sharipbek Agabayuly pointed out that the primary indicator of regional universities is their contribution to regional development. He stressed that by improving scientific technologies and implementing innovative projects, universities play a crucial role in the economic and social development of their regions. The professor discussed the impact of higher education on regional economic growth, the introduction of new technologies, the modernization of entrepreneurship and industry, and the importance of strengthening the connection between education and scientific research.
This lecture became one of the key events aimed at improving the quality of education at the university.
